MELT: Flow and Freedom Fascia Camp

February 28 - March 7, 2026
in Playa el Coco, Nicaragua

With Edya Kalev, and Michelle Fleming

Why "mash" your fascia, when you can Melt and Flow instead? Come along on a profound journey to unravel and release deep-seated patterns in your conenctive tissue. Reveal a better way to move, breathe, and stretch with the specific techniques and gentle toold of the MELT method, and Orthopedic Yoga Therapy.

In the mornings, Michelle will guide you through a luxurious Orthopedic Yoga Therapy session using a variety of balls, blocks, and straps to target areas of tightness and restriction in your fascial system. Enhance your ability to stretch safely and improve your stamina and muscle control as you flow through yoga positions with a newfound sense of freedom.

In the afternoons, Edya will lead a MELT workshop using specialized rollers, hand and foot balls, and resistance bands to restore the fluid state of your fascia. Basic MELT sequences will be covered along with intermediate and advanced variations for people interested in creating deeper changes.

You'll become more connected to your body, more balances in your nervous system, more supple in your movement, and more relaxed in your mind. Move with more ease and joy in this special week dedicated to your beautiful fascial system!

Some yoga and MELT experience is recommended. Please reach out to Michelle to learn more about the level of fitness suggested to get the full benefit of this week of healing. Her e-mail is OrthopedicYoga@gmail.com, cell: 508-734-0081.

Michelle Fleming

Michelle is a Yoga Therapist, a Thai Bodyworker, a Nerve and Artery specialist and a Board Certified Structural Integrator in the lineage of Ida Rolf. It was through these complementary practices of wellness that she healed her body - and from there Orthopedic Yoga Therapy was born.

These days she trains teachers and students to find a fluid pattern of movement that protects and nourishes the joints while stretching the muscles and connective tissue and quieting the mind. She is the owner of Sanctuary Wellness Studios, Director of Orthopedic Yoga and Transformational Yoga Therapy and founder of Equilibrium, a non-profit dedicated to bringing breath, movement and nutrition education to young people with anxiety and mood disorders.

Edya Kalev

Edya Kalev is a MELT Master Instructor, Registered Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, and Self-Care Educator.
With a degree in Museum Education, Edya started out at the Museum of the City of New York, leading school tours. Later, she would don a corset and a coif, and role-play as various Mayflower passengers at the Plimoth Patuxet outdoor museum in Massachusetts. The back breaking work of planting Indian corn and hauling water in buckets led her to seek yoga classes after work.

Edya was inspired to pursue yoga teacher training through a brief conversation with Michelle Fleming while watching the sun set over Plymouth Harbor.  Soon, Edya left corset and coif behind, and traveled to India to study yoga for 6 months. Soon after she got home, she injured her hamstring, which put her yoga teaching career on a painful and disappointing hold.

But that changed when Edya took her first MELT class with Creator Sue Hitzmann, and experienced immediate relief from her pain. She took the very next MELT Instructor Training, and then went on to become a MELT Master Instructor. Edya now teaches regular MELT and MELTed Yoga classes, workshops, and private sessions in the New York City area and around the country. She enjoys sharing her signature online series, "The Power of Threes" with people all over the world.

Edya is delighted to come full circle and share her love of pain-free movement with Michelle and Laura on her first ever Evolutions Yoga Retreat!
